Most industries have some type of trade organization and that organization helps gain publicity for that industry. For example, the Klu Klux Klan has a office that informs the media of its activities in the mold of publicity, as do women’s groups, accountants, lawyers etc. You get the picture.
Without publicity, an organization’s effectiveness may fall apart. They may lose members or not gain any new members. Many of us join different organizations considering of the benefits they supply. I have found that one of the main reasons humans join associations is for
money saving benefits and considering they want to be around other society who think like they think, do what they do and can share comments, thoughts, ideas and support.
With publicity you don’t have to pay like you do with advertising. Publicity gives more credibility and helps you gain exposure, interest and more members to network with.
Our Credit & Collections organization is lucky to have so many members that are credit experts and that freely share expert advice with new members every day.
